God's Faithfulness Is Revealed When We Are Faithful

God wants us to trust in Him. He wants us to learn to be faithful to our Lord. Let me remind you of a passage from the Scripture:

"Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." (1 Cor. 4:2, NKJV).

The Lord says that faithfulness to God and to His Word is a quality He wants to cultivate in our life. This is crucial to Him. Faithfulness - this is what He expects to be developed in His children.

Faithfulness is not a condition when the things we do are determined by our emotions. Rather, faithfulness is when we do things for the Lord and in the Lord despite our emotions, feelings, and our ever-changing perspectives. But God wants us to develop a faithful character; to align our faith with the Lord's character, to be faithful to God's Word and faithful to the principles of the Scripture; to allow God's faithfulness to be revealed in our life.

We want God's faithfulness in our lives, but as humans, we are able to act in unfaithfulness. We have the right to choose: to be faithful or not to be faithful. Are you aware of the easiest test of our faithfulness? It is found in our offerings and tithes.

In His Word, God calls financial sacrifices amongst the least. But for some people, these things could be the biggest thing. But the Lord says in His Word: "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." (Malachi 3:10, NKJV). He says: "I am faithful even in the very least, try Me". If we are faithful in this, it is a start. This is the starting point we depart from and what can be measured. We are faithful at least in this; to offer a tenth for the Lord. We are faithful in our offerings.

Tithes and offerings are two different things. The tithe is what does not belong to us. Our tithes are not sacrifices. But the sacrifice is in our offerings that go above and beyond the tithe. This is where it starts; this is what being sacrificial is about.
We are faithful in the tithe because we do not want the curses to come into our life. Because we do not want the enemy to come into our lives and steal from us. We do not want to keep the door open for the enemy. Thus, when we are faithful with our tithes - this is a starting point of faithfulness and confidence in the Lord. We must grow in these things.

It is very desirable that we build our character to be faithful to God. We need to learn how to be faithful so that the Lord may look at us and say: "‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things." (Mat. 25:21, NKJV).

If we want more, we have to be faithful with what we have. Some people say: "I don't have much anyway." Be faithful with the least you already have. And God, looking at you, will grant you the opportunity to have more.
